The Baltimore medical community is mourning the loss of Dr. Alyssa Rose Lillian, a promising 28-year-old pediatric resident at Johns Hopkins Hospital, who passed away peacefully at her home in Baltimore, Maryland, on July 19, 2025.
Dr. Lillian was the beloved daughter of Joseph and Leslie Lillian, the cherished sister of Brandon Lillian, and the devoted partner of Isaac Pryzant. Born in New Brunswick, New Jersey, and raised in East Brunswick, she was known from an early age for her academic excellence, determination, and ability to form deep and lasting friendships.
A proud graduate of East Brunswick High School, Alyssa went on to earn her undergraduate degree from American University before completing her medical education at the New Jersey Medical School. She was in her second year of residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital, where she was highly regarded not only for her clinical expertise and intelligence but also for her extraordinary compassion toward patients and colleagues.
Friends and coworkers describe Alyssa as a beacon of warmth, patience, and kindness — a physician who took time to truly listen, reassure anxious families, and treat every patient as if they were her own. Whether volunteering in community health programs, comforting a frightened child in the hospital, or sharing moments of laughter with peers, she embodied the true spirit of service.
Her adventurous side was equally memorable; she loved exploring new places, experiencing different cultures, and embracing life’s simple pleasures. Those who knew her recall a quick wit, a radiant smile, and a presence that could light up any room.
A tribute shared by loved ones described her as “a rose… a petal so soft” — a sentiment reflecting both her gentle nature and the deep sense of loss felt by all who knew her.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 24, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Goldsteins’ Rosenberg’s Funeral Directors Inc., Philadelphia, PA, followed by interment at Laurel Hill West Cemetery.
Dr. Alyssa Lillian leaves behind a legacy of love, empathy, and healing — one that will continue to inspire patients, colleagues, and friends for years to come.
