The search began shortly before 9 a.m. near the Route 652 bridge over Elk Creek, where a distressed individual was reported in the water.
First responders—including boat teams and rescue divers—were dispatched to the area and conducted an extensive search. Hours later, the body of an as-yet-unidentified person was pulled from the lake.
