Remembering Kaylie York: Roseburg, Oregon Mourns the Loss of a Bright and Beloved Soul


The community of Roseburg, Oregon, is grieving the sudden and tragic loss of Kaylie York, a young woman whose warmth, kindness, and vibrant personality left an indelible mark on all who knew her. Kaylie passed away following a fatal accident, leaving behind family, friends, and colleagues who are struggling to come to terms with the heartbreaking news.

Born in Kingman, Arizona, Kaylie eventually made Roseburg her home, where she fully embraced life and poured her energy into building meaningful connections. She graduated from Roseburg High School, where she formed friendships that lasted far beyond her school years. Known for her infectious smile, genuine spirit, and compassionate heart, she quickly became a cherished figure in her community.

Professionally, Kaylie was an Administrative Office Assistant at Anthony Beckham, The Beckham Group, where she earned the admiration of her peers and clients alike. Her professionalism was matched by her uplifting presence and sincere care for others. Colleagues remember her as someone who could brighten even the most challenging days with her humor, optimism, and kindness.

Outside of work, Kaylie valued spending time with her loved ones, enjoying laughter-filled gatherings, and creating lasting memories. Friends recall her as a loyal confidante who always made time to listen, encourage, and uplift those around her. She possessed a rare ability to make people feel valued and appreciated, no matter how brief their encounter with her might have been.

The Roseburg High School community expressed their grief with heartfelt tributes, stating:

“Broken hearted to learn of the tragic passing of one of our alumni @kaylieyork. Fly high baby girl. You will be missed. Sending all of the love, prayers, and comforting thoughts to Stephanie, Ryan, and Justin York.”

A graveside service honoring Kaylie’s life will be held on Thursday, August 14, at 10 a.m. at Riddle Cemetery, located at 2787 Riddle Bypass Road, Riddle, OR 97469. All who knew and loved Kaylie are welcome to attend. Seating will be limited, but attendees may bring chairs.

Though her time on earth was far too short, Kaylie York’s memory will live on in the hearts of everyone fortunate enough to have known her. Her legacy is one of love, joy, and a reminder of how deeply a single life can touch so many others.
