With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Devin Wallace Dayton, who left this world on August 19, 2025, in Boston, Massachusetts, at the age of 31. Devin’s time here was far too short, but the love, laughter, and memories he created will live on forever in the hearts of his family and friends.
Devin was known for his protective heart, his goofy sense of humor, and his unwavering devotion to his loved ones. To know him was to experience both laughter and strength, as he had a way of lifting others up and making every moment brighter. He brought joy wherever he went, and his presence will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to share in his life.
A proud fan of St. Louis Blues hockey and Cardinals baseball, Devin enjoyed cheering on his teams with unmatched enthusiasm. He also loved blasting his favorite band, AC/DC, filling every space with energy and fun. These passions were part of what made him uniquely Devin—spirited, vibrant, and full of life.
Above all else, Devin’s greatest joy and purpose came from being a father. His precious son, Declan, was truly the light of his life and the center of his world. Every decision, every dream, and every hope Devin carried was rooted in the deep love he had for Declan.
Devin is survived by his beloved son, Declan; his mother, Lanee (Abel); his father, Jon (Tamiko); his grandmothers Jan and Delores; his aunts Kyndee (Brad) and Alisha; his sisters, Courtnee and Alyssa; his brothers, Dylan, Patrick, Derrick, and Sonny; nieces Caylee, Mila, and Kingsleigh; nephew Liam; and cousins Kyle, Baylee, Scarlett, and Joseph. He is also remembered with love by his great-grandparents Wallace and Babe, Papa & Mamaw, great-grandma Jane, grandfathers Harold and Robert, grandmother Margie, and uncle Alex.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Gallup Christian Church in Gallup, New Mexico. All who knew and loved Devin are invited to attend and celebrate his life. In honor of him, guests are asked to wear red, blue, or yellow—his favorite team colors. For those unable to attend, a livestream link is available upon request at devindaytonmemorial@gmail.com.
Though Devin is no longer with us, his spirit lives on through the memories, the laughter, and the love he gave so freely. His legacy is one of devotion, joy, and family—a gift that will remain in our hearts forever.
Forever in our hearts, Devin Wallace Dayton.
