The Tulsa community and loved ones across Oklahoma are mourning the heartbreaking loss of Ashton Scott Meyer, who passed away tragically in a motorcycle accident on September 3, 2025, at the young age of 23. Born on December 20, 2001, in Ponca City, Ashton was the treasured son of Travis Meyer and Susan Crow. His sudden passing has left an immense void in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to share in his life.
A Life of Energy and Light
From his earliest days, Ashton had a way of commanding attention with his presence. His bright blue eyes, golden blonde hair, and magnetic smile carried warmth and comfort, able to brighten even the darkest of moments. Known for his humor, charm, and boundless kindness, Ashton was deeply loved by family, friends, and all who crossed his path.
Playful and full of life, he was affectionately remembered for his teasing banter with his brother Crosby, his unforgettable laugh, and even the sound of his footsteps — lovingly nicknamed his “Fred Flintstone feet.” These cherished details will remain etched in the memories of his loved ones.
Adventurous and Passionate
Ashton had an adventurous spirit that defined much of who he was. With a love of speed and excitement, he found joy in the rush of the open road, on the soccer field, or through a simple video game session with friends. His appetite for fun was matched by his love for good food — always best paired with a cold Dr. Pepper, his favorite.
Nicknamed “Tank”, Ashton was admired for his strength, dependability, and big-hearted nature. His involvement in Bixby football and soccer built not only skills but also lifelong bonds with teammates who became family.
Beyond people, Ashton had a special love for animals, particularly his cats Remi and Cleo, who were rarely far from his side. His heart was as vast as the Oklahoma sky, filled with generosity, loyalty, and care for those he loved most.
A Family’s Deep Loss
Ashton’s sudden passing is mourned by a wide circle of family and friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Betty and Kenneth Collard and his paternal grandmother Delores Meyer.
He is survived by his father Travis Meyer and wife Rose Meyer; his mother Susan Crow and husband Mark Crow; siblings Crosby Meyer, Leah Meyer, and Anna Mills with husband Michael; nieces and nephew Hadley Mills, London Meyer, and Hesston Mills; grandfather Gerhart Meyer; uncle Shawn Meyer and wife Rhonda; along with many step-siblings who cherished him: Jakob, Lukas, and Kaleb Gartzke, Chris Crow, Evangelyn Charry, Andrew Crow, Joseph Crow, and Tori Abel. Each of them carries forward his memory with immense love.
A Legacy of Love and Laughter
Though his life ended far too soon, Ashton’s legacy is one of joy, resilience, and authenticity. He was the type of person who could transform ordinary days into extraordinary memories. His loyalty as a brother, his warmth as a friend, and his humor in any situation will live on in the countless stories and hearts of those who knew him.
