In Loving Memory of Brooke Foster: A Bright Light Taken Too Soon

It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we share the passing of Brooke Foster, cherished daughter of John and Dianne Foster, who left this world far too soon on August 17, 2025. Born on March 25, 2008, Brooke’s vibrant spirit, kindness, and creativity touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

Brooke was a remarkable young woman whose passions and talents brought light to every room she entered. A senior in high school, she was a dedicated musician, serving as flute section leader and playing saxophone in Jazz 1. Her musical abilities were only matched by her love for singing and songwriting, which she shared generously with her peers, teachers, and community. Brooke’s music was more than a hobby—it was an expression of her soul, a bridge connecting her to those around her and a source of joy for everyone who listened.

Beyond her artistic talents, Brooke was known for her kindness, compassion, and the warmth she radiated. Friends describe her as a supportive and loyal companion, someone who listened with empathy, lifted spirits with her laughter, and made each person feel valued. Teachers and mentors admired her curiosity, creativity, and determination, while her family cherished her unwavering love and her ability to brighten even the most ordinary days.

Brooke’s love extended beyond people to animals, reflecting a deep empathy and gentle heart. She was particularly devoted to The Asher House, an animal rescue organization, and the Foster family has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Brooke’s memory to support this cause she held dear

The community, family, and school are navigating this unimaginable loss together. Counselors and mental health professionals are available to support students and friends as they process grief and celebrate Brooke’s life. Her teachers recall her enthusiasm for music, her creativity in the classroom, and her unwavering positivity, even during challenging moments. Students remember her as a source of inspiration, a light that encouraged them to follow their passions and embrace their individuality.

A Mass to honor Brooke’s life will be held on Wednesday, October 1, at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, followed by a Celebration of Life at 12:00 PM at the same location. Family, friends, classmates, and members of the community are invited to attend, to remember her legacy and the joy she brought into so many lives.

Brooke’s life, though tragically short, leaves behind a legacy of music, love, and inspiration. Her laughter, creativity, and kindness will continue to resonate in the hearts of all who knew her. Brooke Foster’s memory reminds us to cherish each moment, to share our gifts generously, and to love deeply. She may no longer walk among us, but her light will shine forever.
