With hearts heavy yet full of love, the family and friends of Chandler Joseph Hoover, affectionately known as “Chan Man”, share the devastating news of his passing on Sunday, August 10, 2025, at just 20 years old. Chandler tragically lost his life due to injuries sustained in a car accident, leaving an irreplaceable void in the lives of those who knew and loved him.

Born on February 17, 2005, in Muskegon to Rachael Weinert and Eric Hoover, Chandler grew up deeply connected to his roots and community. A proud 2023 graduate of Reeths-Puffer High School, he carried with him a strong work ethic, a vibrant personality, and an unshakable determination to build a meaningful future.

At the time of his passing, Chandler was working alongside his stepdad, Jeremy Griffin, at R & R Landscape and Supply. He was also pursuing his vocational certificate in Residential and Commercial Construction, a path that reflected both his ambition and his dedication to creating a life of purpose.

Chandler’s zest for life was undeniable. He embraced adventure in every form—riding dirt bikes, snowmobiling along pristine winter trails, or cruising in his beloved Audi with friends from the Audi Club. His love for the outdoors ran deep; whether hiking through scenic landscapes, hunting in the crisp autumn air, or fishing at a quiet lake, Chandler found peace and joy in nature.

His family and friends will remember his quick wit, steadfast loyalty, and inspiring determination. Chandler had a way of making every gathering brighter, every challenge surmountable, and every person feel valued.

He is survived by his loving family: his mom and stepdad, Rachael and Jeremy Griffin; his dad, Eric Hoover; his sister, Morgyn (Star Guevara) Weinert; his stepbrother, Barrett Griffin; grandmothers, Sue Weinert and Susan Pearson; aunts and uncles, Darren & Christy Brandt, John & Shanna Mabrito, and Melissa Hoover; cousins, Caleb, Allie, Christian, Matt, Mark, Carly, and Nick; his best friend, Cole Rust; and his loyal White German Shepherd, Bentley.

Chandler is now reunited in heaven with his grandfathers, Larry Weinert and Joseph Hoover, who surely welcomed him with open arms.

His laughter, grit, and boundless love will be missed every day. The trails he rode, the roads he traveled, and the hearts he touched will forever carry his memory.
